Community Spotlight with Angela Schooley at Verona Oceanside

Doesn’t a new custom Florida home by the ocean sound great right now? If you answered yes, ICI Homes sales associate Angela Schooley can make it a reality in Verona Oceanside.

Verona is located in Ormond by the Sea along A1A, Community Spotlight with Angela Schooley at Verona OceansideFlorida’s Atlantic coast highway, between Ormond Beach to the south, and Flagler Beach to the north.

“I love the location,” Schooley says. “It feels like you’re in this niche of homes, but Flagler Beach and Daytona Beach are close by. The beach is untouched — and you can go north or south and be part of the beach scene. The Halifax River is right there. So you’re just nicely nestled.”

The Verona community is a rare opportunity and exactly what many buyers seek during a global health crisis.

“Since they’ve been cooped up so long, they want to be in an area that’s not as cold,” Schooley says, “They want to be able to get out and go for a walk. Coastal living is a big attraction anyway; they’re looking for seashores and sunshine. People are tired of the congestion and the big city.”

Here’s more on Verona and the associate selling it.

Enthusiasm and rapport

Schooley, who moved from Virginia four years ago, has been with ICI Homes nearly that long. She’s overseen Verona since August, and reports homes are selling briskly to folks from all over the U.S.

“I’ve lived in a lot of different states, so I can connect with a lot of these buyers,” says the former national program director for a Fortune 500 company.

Aided by ICI Homes ambassador and homeowner, Kristina Harmon, Schooley’s typical day is busy showing Verona’s model home, the Atlantic floor plan, or virtually introducing remote customers to the community.

“To personalize the out-of-state experience, I provide videos and live virtual appointments via FaceTime and Microsoft Teams so buyers can get to know me and we can connect and provide an experience that can be the next best thing to being here in person.” said Schooley.

Family-owned values

This aspect of ICI Homes — founded 40 years ago in Daytona Beach — is important to Schooley as she helps customers find their Verona home.

“They listen to us, they listen to our homeowners,” Schooley says of ICI Homes’ leadership, citing the company’s annual ranking among the top 100 builders in the U.S. “I like for people to know we are headquartered in Daytona. It’s not someone from another state. We’re not going to pull up and leave. We have roots here.”

Angela Schooley’s own customer service puts down roots. A family she worked within in another ICI Homes community drove to Verona for a visit, and fresh flowers from other former customers recently adorned her office.
