How ICI Homes Gives Back

How ICI Homes Gives Back - mori quote
At ICI Homes, supporting causes that matter is not just considered good corporate citizenship, it’s rooted deep within our DNA and promoted from the highest levels of the organization.

Driving around Daytona Beach you can’t miss the nods to the generosity of our company and our founder and CEO Mori Hosseini.

At Embry-Riddle, the ICI Center is home to the Eagle’s Men’s Basketball and Women’s Volleyball teams. The multi-purpose gymnasium houses three basketball courts, three volleyball courts and three badminton courts. The facility has a state-of-the-art sound system, sports medicine center and a 3,000 square-foot fitness center, equipped with machine/free weights and cardiovascular equipment.

At nearby Daytona State College, the 62,500-square-foot Mori Hosseini College of Hospitality Management features Mediterranean-style architecture and a magnificent lobby/reception area and two assembly/dining areas able to accommodate up to 872 guests. The facility also houses Daytona State College’s acclaimed Southeast Museum of Photography.

And while education is something we’re always proud to support, we help out with a lot of other causes too.

A Team Effort

But it’s not just ICI or our CEO leading these efforts, many of our employees give their time and money in support of causes near and dear to them.

Here are just a few recent examples…

One of our partners, Ron Maugeri of Tile It, who is a longtime flooring, carpet, tile and hard surface vendor for ICI Homes, asked for our support of his daughter’s effort to raise funds for a liver disease foundation called the Liver Life Challenge.

With donations from several people on the ICI team, Ron’s daughter was able to reach her goal of raising $3,400 for the foundation.

Last year, ICI’s IT Manager Mauricio Pinilla cycled 50 miles in the American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure fundraising event.

Mauricio challenged himself with a 50 mile ride versus his normal 30 mile ride. For every mile he rode, funds went towards the prevention and cure of diabetes.

Those are just a few examples of the many great causes members of the ICI family have recently supported.

We’ve even created a special place on our private intranet where everyone can learn more about the causes others are trying to raise funds and awareness for.

This program affectionately named “Charity Corner” was the brainchild of our HR Manager, Linda Caracushansky.

No company is an island. At ICI, it’s clear we believe that together we can all help make our communities better places to live, work and play.
