IronCrest: In the Midst of It All

ICI Homes’ newest project in north central Florida not only is an extraordinary opportunity to shape an iconic residential destination, it’s also a seismic opportunity for future residents.

We’re a preferred builder at IronCrest, a private master-planned community in Ocala nestled in one of Florida’s most unique landscapes. IronCrest features active amenities such as The Club at Iron Lake, a challenging 18-hole golf course, a 37,000-square-foot clubhouse surrounded by a resort-style swimming pool, and a racquet sports complex of tennis and pickleball courts.

Now, ICI Homes is laying the groundwork for IronCrest’s first residential component — soon-to-be luxury custom Florida homes customized to fit buyers’ preferences and needs.

The community already contains the functional amenities above, centered in a unique geographic setting spotlighted by an old limestone quarry, natural lakes in its deepest depths, and dramatic elevation changes studded with the Ocala area’s renowned life oaks and rolling green hills.

Add the stunning residential component being developed by Florida’s Custom Home Builder (that’s us!), and it’s easy to see why discerning buyers seeking distinctive homes and lifestyles will be attracted to IronCrest.

Happily, it doesn’t exist in a vacuum either. If you’re intrigued, but aren’t familiar with Ocala and its environs, here’s why IronCrest is in the midst of it all in north central Florida.

Where it’s located

IronCrest’s address is 950 Northwest 75th Street in Ocala. Just to the west is U.S. Highway 441, a major north-south route in the middle of the state. Only a few miles and minutes further west is Interstate 75. Both highways provide IronCrest residents with quick access to two crucial traffic arteries.

What’s nearby

IronCrest’s hometown of Ocala is only four miles south. Hop on U.S. 441 and head that way!

The city of Gainesville — hometown to the University of Florida, UF Health medical facilities, plus research and business centers — is 30 miles north of IronCrest via U.S. 441 and/or I-75.

Orlando and its attractions are approximately 90 minutes south of IronCrest. Atlantic beaches are approximately two hours east, with Gulf beaches approximately 2.5 hours to the southwest, in the Tampa Bay region.

Things to do

Along with IronCrest, north central Florida is home to some of the state’s most treasured parks and freshwater springs. Among those to savor and revisit: Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park in Micanopy (Florida first preserve and a National Natural Landmark), and Silver Springs State Park in Ocala, just minutes southeast of IronCrest and known for its glass-bottom boats and one of the United States’ largest freshwater springs.

Given Ocala’s moniker as the horse capital of the world, IronCrest residents will be only 10 miles from its centerpiece, the World Equestrian Center.

Other Ocala staples include the Appleton Museum of Art, the College of Central Florida Ocala Campus, plus convenient access to the University of Central Florida in Orlando, and the University of South Florida in Tampa.
