About Sunbridge

While Sunbridge is a new master-planned community, its 27,000 acres were once part of central Florida’s Deseret Ranch. Thus, the surrounding landscape is rich with pristine prairies, wetlands, hammocks and forestland that includes palms and ancient live oaks.

Sited on Orlando’s southeast flank, Sunbridge is considered part of the metro area, but is delightfully exurban, with Orlando only a half-hour or so away. Its nearby hometown of St. Cloud is a classic old Florida town with plentiful dining, shopping and entertainment options, plus a jaw-dropping lakefront park on East Lake Tohopekaliga.

Another plus? Sunbridge is being developed by Tavistock Development Company, the same entity developing another Orlando-area community — Lake Nona — which is only 12 miles from Sunbridge with its renowned Medical City, dining, sports venues and business hubs.

We mentioned “naturehood” above and it’s a thing here, both as a Sunbridge tagline and one of its defining attributes. If you’re looking for a thriving community with amazing amenities and nature-inspired atmosphere, Sunbridge’s central gathering space — Basecamp — is great place to start your visit.

Though the community is new, yoga classes and farmers markets already are happening on the green at Basecamp. It’s also the trailhead for the first two miles of what will be an expansive trail network.
