Spring is one of the active times in residential real estate, and it’s prime season for new-home builders associations’ parades of home. These special events typically encompass an entire week, or back-to-back weekends, and are highly anticipated by potential buyers and builders.

Buyers can tour many models in a compact timeline, and builders use the occasion to debut new models, floor plans or showcase homes.

If you’ve missed a parade, or can’t attend one, don’t fret. ICI Homes’ website contains plenty of helpful videos, photos, digital floor plans, statistics and other information about every model home we present, parade or not.

Here’s how to maximize spring parades of homes.

How to parade

Start by downloading builder associations’ parade apps. Some organizations also provide hard-copy newsprint or magazine-style guides. Both formats of these guides contain maps, hours of operation, and usually details about builders and their parade models.

Parades of homes also are free to enjoy at your own pace. Make an afternoon or day of it and be sure to take plenty of photos and ask ICI Homes sales associates plenty of questions.

Showcase homes

Showcase homes can be exciting thanks to their size, and the creativity and craft that go into their design and construction. They often feature cutting-edge technology and materials, and are tricked out (in the best way) with luxury furnishings, amazing landscaping and highlights such as a two-level waterfall cascading quietly into an infinity pool.

This is good for selfies and valuable inspiration. Showcase homes are for sale like other models, but they’re often positioned as “think tanks,” inspiring buyers to consider certain spaces, design tweaks and materials that they might not have for a future new custom Florida home.
